Buy Greenland. Make Canada our 51st state. Seize the Panama Canal. We’ve all heard these fantasies of a delusional felon hell bent on world domination. More ranting to distract from the coup-in-progress. Next up on his wishlist, Gaza.

Yesterday, Dicktater Don and bestie Bibi Netanyahu announced a controversial plan for the United States to assume control over the Gaza Strip. The proposal involves relocating the approximately 2 million Palestinian residents to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, with the aim of redeveloping Gaza into a prosperous region dubbed the “Riviera of the Middle East”.  The failed former casino owner emphasized the need to clear the war-torn area of unexploded ordnance and rubble, and to foster economic development by creating jobs and housing. He suggested that U.S. troops might be deployed to facilitate this transformation if necessary.

The plan has been met with widespread criticism and rejection from various international actors. Palestinian authorities, neighboring Arab nations, and militant groups like Hamas have condemned the proposal, viewing it as a violation of international law and an infringement on Palestinian rights. Countries such as Egypt and Jordan have explicitly refused to accept the resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza. Legal experts and human rights organizations have labeled the plan as a form of ethnic cleansing, emphasizing the Palestinians’ inalienable right to remain in their homeland.

Critics also highlight the potential for increased instability in the Middle East resulting from this proposal. The displacement of Gaza’s population and the U.S. assumption of control could exacerbate regional tensions and undermine ongoing peace efforts. Additionally, the plan marks a significant departure from the longstanding U.S. policy favoring a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Observers express concern that this move could further entangle the U.S. in Middle Eastern conflicts and question the feasibility and ethical implications of such an intervention.
