Petition to Congressional Democrats: No Deals, No Compromise, No Legitimacy for Trump’s Agenda

To: Democratic Members of Congress

From: Concerned American Voters

We, the undersigned, call on every Democrat in the House and Senate to refuse to cooperate in any way that legitimizes or enables Donald Trump’s agenda. That means rejecting every Trump nominee, opposing every Trump policy, and refusing to engage in backroom deals that allow Republicans to claim bipartisanship while they dismantle our democracy.

Republicans Have Broken Every Deal - Enough Is Enough

For years, Republicans have demanded Democratic cooperation while refusing to honor their own commitments. They have shown, time and time again, that they cannot be trusted to negotiate in good faith. Consider:

Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court Nomination (2016): Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, refused to even hold hearings, claiming it was inappropriate in an election year; only to ram through Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation weeks before the 2020 election.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal (2021): After securing Democratic support, Republicans refused to support necessary follow-up measures in Build Back Better, despite assurances they would.

Debt Ceiling Negotiations (2023): Republicans took the economy hostage, demanding spending cuts while later supporting massive tax breaks for the wealthy.

Republicans have made it clear: they will take whatever they can get from Democrats and then turn around and obstruct everything else. Any cooperation from Democrats only enables their bad faith tactics.

Call a Lie a Lie And Call Out the Hypocrites

For too long, Democratic leaders have shielded Republicans who privately condemn Trump but publicly support him. Enough. If a Republican senator or representative speaks against Trump behind closed doors but votes in lockstep with him, name them. The American people deserve to know who is complicit. No more polite politics, expose their hypocrisy.

Likewise, Democrats must forcefully push back against Republican lies. When Trump or his allies spread misinformation, call it what it is: a lie. The media may dance around the truth, but Democratic leaders must not.

No Deals. No Compromise. No Legitimacy.

Democrats have no obligation to make Trump’s presidency function. He and his party have spent years undermining democracy, stacking the courts, suppressing voters, and promoting extremism. The only appropriate response is total resistance.

We urge you:

Vote against every Trump nominee. Do not help him fill his administration with extremists and cronies.

Block every Trump policy. His agenda is fundamentally opposed to democracy, working families, and the rule of law.

Expose Republican hypocrisy. Name those who pretend to oppose Trump in private but support him in public.

Call out every lie. Do not allow misinformation to go unchallenged.

Democrats have the power to deny Trump legitimacy. Use it. We are watching. We will remember.
